My clients all see a butterfly in this piece and I have to agree. It is so amazing - and I just discovered the best part! The center “body” of the butterfly glows orange under UV light! Talk about an amazing transformation!
This is such a bright and beautiful piece if sea glass. Fabulous art glass found in the waters off the tiny island of Murano in Venice, Italy. These incredible colors have a feathery look and always remind me of tropical plants and birds. The “White” or “Clear” glass is not just your everyday bottle glass, but leaded crystal, making the translucent glow on this piece just incredible! *and tough to photograph!
Meticulously set by me in my metalsmithing studio on Hawai’i Island, this lovely piece has been crafted with fine and sterling silver. It hangs from a fully-adjustable Italian-made sterling silver chain.
Each piece of Sea and Sky Studio jewelry is made using genuine surf-tumbled sea glass and is created using solid gold and silver by me, by hand, in my studio. Each piece is a true labor of love. I have done my best to carefully photograph each piece show its true color, but please allow for some shift as sea glass reflects what is around it as well as color shifts due to monitor differences.
