Fantastic neodymium sea glass never fails to amaze me! If you are new to “neo” sea glass, it is sea glass that started its life as art glass or medical glass to which the element Neodymium was added in the glass-making process (#60 on the periodic table, for you science folks). What makes it so special is that this glass will CHANGE COLOR under differing lights! Stunning deep lilac purple under daylight and rich dusty blue under fluorescent light! It’s truly magic to watch the color change before your eyes.
This beautiful sea glass was found on the shores of the Ligurian Sea in Italy. It is the remnant of 1950s-era Italian art glass. It’s such a treasure!
This ring is a size 5 and can be increased to a size 6, if desired.
I am so pleased to have the opportunity to work with pieces of incredible and scarce sea glass from the coast of Tuscany. My travels abroad have allowed me to beachcomb on this beach, and it’s been a true gift from the sea glass heavens!
